This CD debuted at NUMBER 2 on

the Billboard charts (classical) and is a

historical anthology of Burleigh’s art songs and classical

arrangements of spirituals. Burleigh was a protégé of

Dvorák and Burleigh’s melodies influenced

some of Dvorák’s greatest works – Symphony No. 9 is an example.
